File an application at the Municipality's General Protocol Office
Within six (6) months of the birth, with all documents (an incomplete file is rejected). The Municipality obtains the family status certificate, birth certificate and municipal tax clearance itself.

Check and approval
A three-member committee checks the application and the Municipal Committee approves payment (applications of 2026 are paid in 2027).

What it is

With decision 136/2026 (24/09/2026) the Municipal Council of Minoa Pediadas created, based on article 525(4) of Law 5314/2026, a one-off grant for every child born from 29/06/2026. Children born from 01/07/2024 to 28/06/2026 fall under the previous decision 157/2024.

Amount by total family income in the latest tax return: - €2,500 for income up to €6,000; - €2,000 for income €6,001–12,000; - €1,500 for income €12,001–25,000; - €1,000 for income €25,001–38,000. Each limit rises by €2,000 for each additional minor or dependent family member, by at most €6,000 in total. For the third and each further child of the same parents the amount rises by €500. All income counts, taxable or not, except disability allowances.

The beneficiary is the mother or father with parental responsibility, who must: have been a permanent resident of the municipality for at least one year on the day of the application; be a registered citizen of the Municipality of Minoa Pediadas; be a Greek citizen or have been taxed in Greece for at least 12 years before the year of the birth. Adoptions by couples who tried for at least five years to have a biological child are included.
