What it is

The Municipality of Velventos pays a one-off grant of €3,000 for every child born on or after 1 September 2026 (the date of the municipal council decision). It is for families in which the parents are Greek citizens, at least one of the two is a registered citizen of the Municipality of Velventos, and the family has its permanent residence and lives in the municipality. There are no income criteria. Both parents apply at the Municipality's Registry (Protokollo), within three months of the birth, with the documents. The grant is separate from the OPEKA Birth Allowance.
