What it is
With decision 075/2026 (3/8/2026) the Municipal Council of Hydra created a one-off grant of €3,000.00 for every child born, based on article 525 of Law 5314/2026.
Conditions: - when the child is born, at least one of the two parents is a registered citizen of the Municipality of Hydra and the family has its permanent residence on Hydra; - yearly family taxable income is at most €50,000.00, plus €10,000.00 for each child already in the family before the birth: €50,000 for the first child, €60,000 for the second, €70,000 for the third, €80,000 for the fourth and so on.
Income and permanent residence are proven with the latest assessed income tax return (form E1) filed when you apply. The decision sets no application deadline; ask the Municipality of Hydra.
