What it is
The Municipality of Servia pays an allowance of 10,000 EUR for every child born to a couple who are permanent residents of the Elati community: 1,000 EUR a year for the first 10 years of the child's life. It is for couples (married or in a civil partnership) with a newborn child who live permanently in Elati for the whole decade from the application. The family's annual taxable income must be up to 30,000 EUR, as shown on the latest assessed income-tax return. In any year the conditions are not met, that year's amount is not paid. One of the two parents applies at the Servia municipal registry with the documents, which the Municipal Committee checks. Every year the parents again submit certificates of permanent residence, a family-status certificate and the tax assessment.
