What it is
Athens Development Agency (a company of the Municipality of Athens) runs the pilot «SUB3A. Social housing for the most vulnerable groups – Municipality of Athens», funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility. Owners renovate homes with programme support and rent them at below-average rent to households in housing insecurity, for at least 4 years; the lease is signed with the owner on the AADE platform and the tenant pays the rent.
Conditions of the 2025 call: living in, or registered with, the Municipality of Athens; net household income of at least €5,833 and up to the housing-allowance limits (€7,000 for one person, +€3,500 per extra member, +€7,000 for the first minor in a single-parent family and for each unprotected child); nobody in the household owns a first home; documented housing insecurity certified by the Social Service or Community Centre.
Applications were made online at athenskatoikia.gr from 06/08/2025 to 05/09/2025 for 14 homes, ranked by points; the final list came out in October 2025. No new call has been announced.
