Family status certificate from the last three months (and birth certificates of minor members, if not included)
Proof of permanent residence: municipal certificate, utility bill or lease
Tax assessment and E1 return of every household member (or a tax-office certificate that no return is due)
E9 and ENFIA assessment, or a solemn declaration that you own no real estate
Solemn declaration that you do not receive the same help from another body or municipality

Appointment and assessment
The social workers book an appointment for the social history at the Community Centre. Applications are scored and those selected receive the help for one year.

What it is
The Municipality of Aktio-Vonitsa runs two new services providing basic goods, funded by the «Western Greece 2021-2027» programme (ESF+, ΟΠΣ code 6019681):
- the social grocery, which supports at least 100 families every month with free food, personal hygiene items, detergents and cleaning products, and baby items; the quantity depends on the family members and their needs;
- the soup kitchen, which hands out 100 to 150 full meals free of charge every day to people who cannot secure an adequate meal.
Each applicant must choose one of the two services. People who receive the ΕΒΥΣ food aid programme (formerly ΤΕΒΑ) cannot join the social grocery.
Conditions: permanent residence in the Municipality of Aktio-Vonitsa and household income not above the ELSTAT poverty line for its make-up (€7,020 a year for 1 person, €10,530 for 2 adults, €14,742 for 2 adults and 2 children under 14). Applications are scored (income, single-parent family, three or more children, disability, unemployment, housing) and those selected receive the help for one year.
Applications are filed from Monday 19 October to Friday 13 November 2026, in person or by proxy, at the municipality's Social Protection, Education and Culture Department, Agiou Spyridonos 3, Vonitsa, daily 10:00-14:00 (tel. 2643360123).
