Monthly dividend from the Armed Forces mutual funds (Army, Navy, Air Force)
Retired career military personnel who receive a main pension get a monthly dividend from their branch's mutual fund (Army, Navy or Air Force). After the death of the shareholder or dividend holder, the dividend passes to the eligible family members. The Army (EKOEMS) and the Navy (EKOEMN) also pay an extra monthly financial support.
Monthly; shares for the pension rank × share value (set by the fund's board with the Defence Minister's approval). No fixed amount is published. EKOEMS/EKOEMN: an extra monthly amount under the ministerial decisions (Government Gazette B 3395/2016 and B 3969/2018).

What it is
The three Armed Forces mutual funds, under the Ministry of National Defence, pay a monthly dividend to their shareholders when they leave active service: the Army Mutual Fund (MTS) to military pensioners of the Army and the former Gendarmerie; the Navy Mutual Fund (MTN) to retired Navy and Coast Guard personnel and to MTN civil staff; the Air Force Mutual Fund (MTA) to retired Air Force personnel. The dividend is paid once you have been awarded a pension by your main pension institution and it is being paid: it starts on the date the main pension starts and stops when the pension stops. The amount is the number of shares for your pension rank times the share value, which the fund's board sets with the approval of the Minister of National Defence according to the previous financial year's net income; no fixed amount is published. After the death of the shareholder or dividend holder, the dividend passes to the eligible family members (widow or widower, orphans). Extra monthly support: the Army dividend holders' special fund (EKOEMS) pays, on top of the dividend, a monthly support to MTS dividend holders who come only from the Army, once an MTS dividend has been awarded; the Navy's equivalent special branch (EKOEMN) pays a monthly support to retired Navy and Coast Guard personnel and MTN civil staff, and to their families after their death.
