What it is
The «New Opportunity» action of the «Epirus 2021-2027» programme helps unemployed people and employees in precarious work, aged under 60, start their own activity as self-employed or freelancers. Only new micro businesses still to be set up are funded, registering with the tax office after the final submission. A company with several beneficiaries is allowed; each person may take part in one business only.
Beneficiaries: unemployed people on the DYPA register at submission, or part-time, rotating or seasonal employees at the call's publication, or people unemployed at publication who became part-time, rotating or seasonal employees before submission. Also: 2025 income up to EUR 22,000 individual or EUR 35,000 family (joint tax return), no old-age pension, and a qualification of at least level 5 (e.g. IEK, higher school, university) or, for sub-action 1, a Lykeio or EPAL certificate or an EPAS diploma. Youth and women's entrepreneurship and a match between speciality and activity score extra.
Grant budget EUR 10,000–50,000 (or EUR 60,000 with more than one beneficiary), for up to 18 months, covering staff, equipment, buildings, services, running, software, promotion and 7% indirect costs. Sub-action 1 covers the Municipality of Konitsa, North and Central Tzoumerka and the Souli and Acheronta units; sub-action 2 the rest of Epirus, in the smart-specialisation sectors. Public budget EUR 3,500,000. Applications in ΟΠΣΚΕ ran from 10/6/2026 to 21/10/2026 and the call has closed.
