Birth package of the Municipality of Elliniko-Argyroupoli (€1,000–3,000 and exemptions)
For every child born from 1 January 2027 to a family of registered citizens and permanent residents, the Municipality of Elliniko-Argyroupoli will pay a one-off €1,000 (€2,000 with family income up to €20,000, €3,000 for families registered with the Social Grocery), together with an exemption from municipal fees and free municipal nurseries. The decision awaits approval by the Decentralised Administration of Attica.

For children born from 1/1/2027, apply to the Municipality within three months of the birth. The Municipality will announce the documents after the decision is approved.

What it is
The Municipality of Elliniko-Argyroupoli decided (municipal council decision 185/2026, 2/10/2026) a support package for every child born on or after 1 January 2027, and not before the decision is approved by the Decentralised Administration of Attica. One-off grant: €1,000 with no income criteria; €2,000 for families with an annual family income of up to €20,000; €3,000 for families registered with the Municipality's Social Grocery. Conditions: being a registered citizen of the municipality (it does not apply to citizens registered elsewhere), permanent residence in the municipality, a tax presence in Greece for at least 12 tax years, and the child being born from 1/1/2027. Apply within three months of the birth. In addition, for families with a new member from 1/1/2027: exemption from municipal fees for 5 years, free places in the municipal nurseries, free creative-activity programmes and free cultural and sports programmes for 5 years.
