Kifisia support programme for families having a child from 1 January 2027
From 1/1/2027 the Municipality of Kifisia will pay EUR 1,000 to 3,000, scaled by income, to families on its roll who have a child, with one parent a citizen and resident for at least 2 consecutive years, plus a 1-year municipal-fee exemption for family income up to EUR 40,000. The income bands have not been set yet.

What it is
The Municipality of Kifisia announced (29/09/2026) a new support programme for families who have a child from 1 January 2027:
- A cash grant of EUR 1,000 to 3,000, scaled by income criteria, so that the biggest support goes to the families most in need.
- A one-year municipal-fee exemption for families on the roll with yearly family income up to EUR 40,000 who have a child from 1/1/2027.
- A network of local shops with special discounts for new parents.
Families qualify when at least one parent has been on the roll and a resident of Kifisia for at least two consecutive years before the birth. The exact income limits, beneficiary categories, documents and procedure will be set by municipal decisions.
