EOPYY Climate/Air Therapy Allowance

EOPYY (National Organisation for the Provision of Health Services) pays an air-therapy allowance of €200 per year, for the period 1 June to 31 August each year. It is for: insured people with chronic lung conditions and a certified disability of 67% or more (such as old tuberculosis, lung cancer, pneumoconiosis, cystic fibrosis, idiopathic pulmonary hypertension); patients with end-stage chronic kidney failure on long-term haemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis; patients who have had a kidney, liver, lung or heart transplant. You need a sworn statement that you have not received and will not receive this allowance from another body and that you were not in hospital for more than 46 days between 1/6 and 31/8, and a medical opinion from a doctor of the relevant specialty confirming the condition and the continuation of treatment. For transplant patients, the KEPA (Disability Certification Centre) decision is enough, provided it shows a disability of 67% or more and the transplant.
